New Mexico petroglyphs

This was a lovely bloom; the only thing not dried up and dead, except for maybe a few grasses.

 The  petroglyphs were unusual.

 This sign states that one must stay on the path and not go about 'running'.   It was the roughest path I had ever seen. Sometimes the path was lost and one simply decided which large piece of volcanic rock to climb over. I couldn't fathom anyone running.

 Nice snake. There were also signs warning of rattlesnakes in the area. The park ranger at the visitor's center said he had only seen one in the fifty years he had been in the area.

Very hot, but interesting to visit.
