Doll hugs

This is a special doll that travels, sleeps and listens to Ellie's stories. Here she gets a special hug. She is dressed in a new green sleeper with teddy bear toes. Two happy little dolls here.

Nap time or story time?

I quietly opened the door to find Ellie reading ( two books at once) to her dollies.
They seemed to be fully attentive and enjoying the experience.

What a wonder three year olds are!

Ellie and dolly.

Ellie gives super hugs to her dolly.

Nate's new trick.

Look Grammie a new trick. I pretend to play with these chains and then ...

I pretend to drop them and you pick them up1

Michael enjoys playing with his Leapster ( or anything else electronic).

Grammie I'm a bit too big for this chair, don't you think?

Eliie has several favorite dollies. This one is getting lots of TLC.

Michael loves Nate and plays with him so nicely.

Choices. Choices. Choices.

This is a happy going to church face.

Second day of overcast clouds. makes for dark days.

Nate is the best little boy. He really eats well as well as playing with anyone who will give him the attention.

He was fascinated with the camera lens cover, but seemed to like having his picture taken.

What can this grandmother say? Super kid and well loved.

It's just girl talk.

Sometimes a girl just needs to talk girl to girl with someone. Here Ellie is talking with her Aunt Tammy about important 'girl" stuff.

One would almost think the topic had turned to a serious nature, but probably not.

Guess, I'll just sit back and enjoy this.

It's good to have a reliable aunt to exchange ideas with.

Everyone loves putting together a puzzle.

Looks like Nate is caught getting ready to chew on a puzzle piece rather than add it to the picture! Does he look guilty or what?

Adam and Ellie carefully examine the pieces to get the puzzle together.
While everyone did great work, Ellie seemed to put pieces together very quickly.
Good going girl.

Time spent in Houston.

I am spending a few days in Houston and am learning to 'blog'. It is not as easy as feeding Nate his dinner. He loves to eat and is loud and unhappy if it isn't spooned in fast enough. ( Adam did a great job taking this picture!).

Old famiy heirloom.

This is a crazy quilt made by one of my ancestors. It has intricate stitches around each piece of velvet or old satins. Some places are worn and torn. I really love this piece and am glad my daughter Nannette fancied it enough to display it in her home. I wish to have something this lovely to hand down to my children and their children.
