Before and after pictures

I have been cleaning my sewing room. It was previously the girls' room. I wanted to post some before and after pictures, because they are so much fun. But it really doesn't look like all the Better Homes and Gardens' pictures now that it is 'done'. Okay it is not really 'done' yet and may never be, but I know by tommorrow I'll be able to walk right into it and be able to get the pack and play in there and locate it in a safe place.
I guess I just need to buy a very pretty shower curtain and then it'll be very lovely.

Visiting Natalie

Last week I deserted grandpa and flew down to visit Natalie and her mom and dad.

I did not take very many pictures as her mother takes ones much better than I do.

Natalie was great fun to play with and be around. She is eating real people food and enjoys looking at and exploring new toys or places.  I shared a room with her and I guess neither of us snored loud enough to wake the other up. That was good. She is a very loveable little girl.  We all felt badly that she couldn't eat chocolate ( German Sweet Chocolate only) cake yet. Oh well, next year.

What not to do with your bucket of ashes and coals

When cleaning out ashes and coals, make sure they are totally dead before dumping them over into the grass by your cabin, or leaving them on a wooden deck.

Move your boat and boat trailer if your cabin catches on fire.
It does look like the stained glass might have been removed.

If you are the fire department, and do finally arrive after the buildling is burned down,  completely put out the flames before leaving it to send live flames and ashes down the mountain side.
Because we'll just call you back to sprinkle on more water if the live flames are still there the next day.
