Recycling contest

Springs Preserve had a contest where different people or groups made people scenes using recycled items. The results were varied and intereseting.

Now sure how these lack of hips could do the hula.

Girl scouts.

Professional sculpture.

There were many more funny ones. They have a haunted festival that might be fun to attend.
We'll see.

Springs Preserve Photo Day

Springs Preserve had a cheap photo class. It looked like fun. I took the class and enjoyed the ideas and assignment.

This was one of the close up photos. Fall has arrived there.

This was taken with a different perspective. Cute little tike whose mommy was taking the class.

This photo was a nature pattern.

This was another close up shot; I really love these bushes.

You already know what this assignment was.

It was a great day and fun to be out shooting. Michael and Clell were out shooting in Utah. Fun time for all of us.

A blessing indeed.

Michael and I drove to Phoenix to attend the blessing of our newest grand-daughter Natalie. She is very vivacious and likes to smile. She simply doesn't want to do it when one is trying to take pictures of her.

She seemed to enjoy her bath and the warmth of the pink towel afterwards.
Grandpa's legs made a nice back support for her. Check out the cute shoe socks. Never too soon to be stylish with the perfect foot attire.

Happy threesome.

Tammy finished off the raw silk blessing dress with a beautiful silk ribbon grouping of lavender roses, tiny white and yellow daisies and petite green leaves. Doesn't she look like her daddy here?

Aunt Lynne's white blanket made a perfect finish to the blessing ensemble. The day ended with a wonderful father's blessing given by Jeremy. This perfect little girl is lucky to have him for a daddy and Tammy for her mommy.

Feet and hands

Nannette is still going through this and yes, Tammy one day Natalie will be touching everything. Recently we had to purchase a new blood pressure monitor as the old one refused to do the work anymore. Michael programed it precifically to monitor me or him. This morning he, smiled and stated, " Oh, you tried the machine." I replied that I hadn't. Then we realized Juliana had managed to sneak ( oh let me rephrase that) boldly walk behind grandpa's chair and push buttons on the monitor. She loves all the cupboard doors that seem made for someone her size. She can't see, but can lift her hand to the living room tape players and she found this one on the floor ( very convenient) in the study. Sorry it doesn't work right now.

As heights go, she doesn't tower above any of us, but her hands do. It reaches everything high or low that has buttons to push or knobs to turn. Watch out world here she comes.

She really dislikes wearing her shoes, but apparently is ready to step into grandmom's.

Quite a size difference I'd say.
