This is one side of the base of the Martin Harris monument. This whole cementry was so different from the one in Riverside. Many very elaborate beautiful headstones here. One had a wagon, horses, mountains and trees etched into the headstone. Some were red; others were very large with pictures.
The tall spear monument is the marker for Martin Harris. You can see part of the back of the seating for the pageant. It is actually on cementry grounds. It is a bowl on the banks of the falling off part of the cementry.
New set this year. Pageant was shortened. Nice presentation, but we were glad it was only the length it was.
Pre-show actors milling around. Notice lovely countryside.
Really, really nice costumes.
Very interesting time in Clarkston. People there had relatives who knew and heard Martin Harris's testimony.
Nice roast beef dinner at the church.
