Zion National Park

We traveled home through Zion this last weekend. We anticipated seeing water falls from the spring run off. It was not to be. It was mostly dry and dead.

There were a few waterfalls with little volume. It still painted a dramatic picture.

What a rugged country to have traveled through as a pioneer or early explorer. We did enjoy eating at a very nice restaurant in Springdale. Of course the candy shop next door was the highlight of the trip. Very delicious haystacks!
