I set our goal at 50 because I wanted a successful goal and was afraid we might not reach more than that.
We had people filter through all day long, with the majority between 11:30 and 3:00. All fabrics were donated. We supplied lunch and water and it was a good day. I was really pleased with the turnout and the final amount. The fabrics were very cute and people worked very hard.
Some sisters opted to make cards for the servicemen overseas.
Karleen smiled as she said that when this was over, her sewing machine was going straight to the garage -where she claimed it belonged.
We had a nursery-at times with 20 kids in it;but, a few were too young and intertained thenmselves.
Our dear Relief Club president came and ironed and ironed and ironed; she also brought flannel to use. The plus two on the number equals the two purchased blankets one lady brought. Our president said she just wanted to buy hers, but managed to really come to help out instead. All our presidency was there and spent hours working dutifully and cheerfully to accomplish our goal. It happened! Now we can move on to next month -easy one- a progressive dinner.

WOW!!! Very, very cool! Nice to know that you are helping many, many families and babies.. and you are lucky that none of your grandbabies have ever been in the need of one of these at a children's hospital!
Natalie is soooooooo impressed with her Grammie! (And cannot wait to gabber, clap, dance, and crawl with her!!!)
Wow! 89, that is quite amazing, glad you had enough fabric on hand to do all of those.
