Hard rock and snow

I drove the jeep to the cabin last Thursday. We had been worried about the heavy accumulation of snow on the roof. Worries about the snow going through the windows were over when I arrived and found it all in the driveway.
And... I was lucky to locate Shane who made a path for the counter installers. ( He only charged $100.00 an hour.) Lucky me.

It snowed and the sun came out and it snowed and the sun came out (repeated every other 2 hours or so) on installation day. But the men were able to get through on the snowy roads and carry the 500 lb counter top up the stairs. They all groaned and said their backs hurt, BEFORE they started with it up the stairs.  They were really nice and proficient at their tasks. Regretably one chap had to stay outside in the time period that it snowed and the wind blew to cut down the splash, so it would fit properly on the flat-not rounded part of the logs. Apparently the men cutting it at the shop decided to ignore all the notes that gave the exact size of the splash cuts.
I am very happy with the color, design and everything with my new granite counter tops!

Wow, that is really pretty. I'm glad you like it. You need to post pictures of the sink side. I also like the green drawer liner.
