Rock 'N Roll 35 K marathon Las Vegas

My Aunt Margaret ran marathons well into her old age. Amazingly she wore Keds and only Keds. Today a runner would be far more equipped than that. This past Sunday Las Vegas had it's annual marathon, and this year it was the Rock'nRoll Marathon. Michael and I walked over to Hacienda and watched the process.

As you can see here it was cold to the spectators and administrators.

There were over 27,000 runners. The first ones released were record worthly and as you can see here, did not run with a pack.

These were local middle school girls, dressed to cheer or just be warm. Nice pink corduorys there.

There were several Elvi in the group, but this bikini clad man running next to the heavily clad Santa was interesting.

There were many rock bands, these young boys had fun; they were the intermissions for the group below called Black Magic.

This was the largest marathon yet  in Vegas; many people from all over came here to run in it. Many came so that they could qualify for the Boston marathon. Even though many had very little clothing on and very red legs, it seemed to better running weather than other marathons nationwide.

(My mom wrote this one) You did not seem to get a picture of me-- I was also there in a polka dot bikini! (yeah, right!). Nice picture of the band, too bad (for them) you do not work for the Review Journal newspaper!
