"travel through the regions of Italy" at the cooking school

My very dear friend Mary gave me a gift certificate for a cooking class of my choice as a retirement gift when I left Cimarron last June. This last week Michael and I decided to try out the Italian class night. We had a delightful time, chopping, stirring, pouring, and then best of all eating. It was a super night. Okay, so I had a great time eating and Michael enjoyed the aromas only. Next class he won't have a complicated surgery the next day and will be able to eat real food during the class. What a strong will he has-no tasting-just deep breathing of the aromatic smells.

After cutting, mixing and toasting- Bruschetta a la Toscana. Yummy.
I think everyone should have one of these two armed red monsters with full attachments in their kitchen.

Michael was very good at pounding chicken for the Chicken Marsala recipe.

Chef Anderson demonstrating the way to fill the glasses as part of the Mascarpone Parfaits with Frangelico Scented Espresso. We basically left off the chocolate covered coffee beans and the dessert tasted good. I enjoyed doing what the chef is doing here. Good 'hands on' fun.

Looks like the pounding Michael did to the chicken was just right. Chicken Marsala with homemade pasta and roasted vegetables.

See you later. Had a fun time.
