At any time of the day, at any point on the island-Walmart's parking area, a remote nature walk , the top of Waimea Canyon, or outside one's window at the break of day-one saw or heard roosters.

This is an antique detail from inside the Kilohana Plantation. We took a train ride; went on a guided plantation walk and saw many plants and vegetation. Later we dined at the Luau Kalamaku, where we enjoyed watching dancers and performers.
